This picture of Kure was taken in 1964 when the natural Vegetation had been established for many years and it was infested with the same type plants that are now over populating Midway. take a look at the yellow flowers in this shot and the purple flowers in it.	M01-082.jpg 100.98 Kb This is when we had the Luau on Kure and the pilots were leaving . I stayed on Kure for four more days and had some fun. No work and lots of Beach time.

Its a shot of the States liner Oregon.	M01-084.jpg 139.72 Kb This is one of our favorite time killers on Midway: flying model airplanes. These planes were made from scrapes of balsa wood that Carl sent for from the states. There were no plans and nothing to help him he did it all with nothing but a razor blade and some glue.
